These delicious chocolaty marshmallow bars will surely satisfy any dessert craving you may be having.
They are cream, chocolaty, crispy and chewy all at the same time.
Like magic in your mouth! It’ll quickly become a favorite of any chocolate lover.
If you don’t know what a deluxe chocolate mashmallow bar is, it’s basically chocolate cake with a layer of gooey marshmallow fluff and topped with a chocolate rice krispie topping.
It’s delicious!
Ingredients
To make this recipe, you’ll need ingredients for the cake layer plus the marshmallow fluff, and ingredients for the crispy topping.
For the Cake Layer:
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 7oz tub of marshmallow fluff
For the Topping:
- 1 1/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 โ 2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cups rice crispy cereal
Instructions
Start by heating your oven to 350 degrees.
Line a 15×10 baking sheet with foil and then spray the foil with cooking spray.
In a small mixing bowl, mix together the butter and sugar until they are just combined.
Then add in your eggs, make sure to mix together well in between each egg.
Sprinkle in your vanilla and mix until combined.
In seperate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder and salt.
Then slowly add your wet ingredients until it’s completely mixed.
Spread the cake batter onto the lined foil of your baking pan and bake for 15-18 minutes.
It should be a cake like consistency and a toothpick should come out clean when finished.
Once the cake is done, immediately spread the marshmallow fluff all over the top of the cake.
Once the cake has cooled, prepare the krispie topping by placing the chocolate chips, marshmallows and butter to a saucepan and melting them over medium heat.
When your chocolate mixture is melted, stir in the rice crispies until they are completely coated in the chocolate.
Gentley spoon the krispie topping onto the marshmallow fluff layer and carefully spreak it over the top evenly. (It’s a little tricky, but you CAN do this!)
Chill your marshmallow bars in the fridge until the top has set well.
Cut into bars and enjoy!
These can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature, but I personally like them cold out of the fridge.
